GP Surveyors Announce 70% Growth in Just Five Years and Commission Bowman Riley Healthcare as Architectural Healthcare Consultants

GP Surveyors, the UK’s leading firm of Chartered Surveyors who currently work solely for GPs, have announced growth of 70% in the last five years with plans to grow by another 20% in 2012.

The Sheffield-based company now has a client portfolio of nearly 2,000 surgeries nationwide, from Northern Ireland, right down to Lizard in Cornwall. This represents approximately one fifth of the existing NHS stock in terms of primary care centres for the whole of the UK. GP Surveyors are therefore now estimated to represent more individual healthcare clients than any other property-related organisation in the UK.

Jacqui Johnson, Company Manager at GP Surveyors, commented: “In 2010 and 2011 we demonstrated our dominance in the market, actively working for approximately 500 surgeries in each year – two thirds of which were new clients. Moreover, in the last five years, the team at GP Surveyors has increased by 133%.”

GP Surveyors focus on creating financial benefits for Doctors by ensuring that they are maximising the use of their surgery. This includes carrying out rent reviews, valuations, advising on alternative uses for additional space, extensions, pharmacy installations and sale & leaseback solutions.

Johnson continued: “We attribute this growth to our expanding team of valuation professionals and their expert skills in negotiation; our proactive approach to sales and marketing; our reputation for excellent customer service; our knowledge of the healthcare and property sectors; and the increasing recognition from doctors that, in times of austerity, they need to make the most of the space available to them.”

As part of the company’s continued growth plans, GP Surveyors have also announced the appointment of Bowman Riley Healthcare as Architectural Healthcare Consultants.
