Many doctors have carried out lengthy negotiations in order to agree favourable Personal Medical Contracts (PMS) only to end up agreeing that they get the same level of funding for the use of their surgery as they did when they were on General Medical Services (GMS).

But how do they know that what they were getting under GMS was their full entitlement?

These levels of value always need checking and negotiating to the highest level, as to merely accept the District Valuers opinion might result in a shortfall in reimbursement compared to what could be attained as reimbursement under the services (PMS) contract.

We suggest allowing GP Surveyors to investigate and negotiate a higher level of surgery reimbursement under Personal Medical Contracts (PMS). The existing contract will not, in any way, be compromised. Merely we will look at the existing scenario to see how best we can help.
