GP Surveyors are delighted to be delivering our GP Notional Rent workshop as part of Future Focus Finance’s, NHS Finance for General Practice conference Bristol on Wednesday 18th September.
The NHS Finance for General Practice conference is designed for general practice employees who are involved in finance and have a desire to learn more about how NHS finance works in England.
The conference will include a keynote talk on the future of Primary Care, including the new GP contract and Primary Care Networks followed by discussions. Delegates will then have the opportunity to select from a variety of practical and interactive workshops, covering finance processes and notional rent. Throughout the day there will be a focus on interactive and discussion-led learning during all talks and workshops.
GP Surveyors Notional Rent workshop
GP Surveyors Notional Rent workshop will provide attendees with a comprehensive guide to the entire Notional Rent review process, from how a practice should complete and submit their CRM 1 form, through to how GP Surveyors check and possibly challenge your rental reimbursement figure.
The Notional Rent workshop in Bristol will be delivered by Emma Pratt – Valuations Surveyor – MRICS
A highly experienced Chartered Surveyor, with a wealth of primary care premises knowledge. Emma acts for numerous GP practices across the UK, undertaking a diverse range of valuations and rent reviews. Emma has a vast array of experience negotiating with key industry stakeholders including District Valuers and NHS England.

In this practical workshop, Jack will explain the background of QOF, how income is calculated and what factors affect income. Jack will share how surgeries can increase their income and will explore the financial impact of static prevalence. Delegates will get the opportunity to learn about coding errors and how these can significantly reduce income and will be given working examples of how prevalence can affect income. From this workshop, delegates will also learn about the relevance of prevalence and the clinical and financial impact of underreported prevalence.
